If you write a blog in the middle of the woods, does anyone ready it? Even if you’re writing blogs on a daily basis, you still need it shared for others to read it. Sharing your content is good, but having others share it is better. Most website visitors aren’t going to go out of their way to share your content. So… you want to make it easy.
Integrating Shareable Links
The easiest way to make your content shareable is adding “share” buttons to your content. If you’re using WordPress it’s as easy as adding a plugin. The only difficult part is choosing which plugin to use. To make this easier for you, here’s an article from HubSpot that shares 20+ social media plugin recommendations and their unique features. Personally, I use Social Warfare as my social media sharing plugin.
If you’re not using WordPress as your content management system (CMS) and are instead using Wix or SquareSpace, you may need to use an alternative method. One method is to check out code generating websites such as ElfSight that allow you to generate code snippets to inject into your site. On both Wix and SquareSpace you can add an element called “Custom HYML” and this is where you can past your code snippets.
